Miraval Resorts are the ultimate in luxury wellness retreats. Miraval combines activities like yoga, fitness classes, and wellness seminars with amenities like gourmet food, pools, and luxury spas. Add in serene landscapes and an invitation to totally unplug and re-charge and you’ve got an incredible resort.
But, here’s the catch…Miraval ain’t cheap. However, while you might think that these resorts are only for the rich, you’d be wrong. I’ve stayed at Miraval Arizona twice and have paid $0 for my room each time — all by using World of Hyatt points instead of cash.
In this post, I’ll go over everything you want to know about how to use Hyatt points to stay at a Miraval Resort:
- What’s included at Miraval Resorts
- 3 Miraval Resort locations
- How many Hyatt points you’ll need to stay at Miraval
- How to easily earn enough points for a 2-night stay for 2 people at any Miraval Resort

Miraval Resorts and Hyatt Points
Miraval is where you want to be if you enjoy chilling out, quiet tranquility, fitness classes, gorgeous landscapes, gourmet food, and top-notch spa services.
At Miraval, you can get totally woo-woo spiritual or you can just relax for the hell of it. Don’t worry, you won’t be forced to meditate against your will!
Miraval is now part of the World of Hyatt rewards program which means you can pay for your stay using points instead of cash. Cash rates at this hotel can easily top $700 or more per night so this is a great way to use Hyatt points. This is how I have stayed at Miraval Arizona twice already, and now I’m going to show you how to do it too.
Miraval Resorts Are All-Inclusive
The great thing about staying at a Miraval Resort is that they are all-inclusive. All meals (and, oh my, the food was good!), smoothies, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages are all included. Alcohol is available for an extra cost.
In addition, lots of activities at Miraval are included for free:
- Yoga
- Meditation
- Mountain Biking
- Bootcamp workouts
- Hiking
- Health and wellness seminars
There is so much to do that you get a detailed calendar of events upon check-in.
Some additional activities and the spa cost extra, but the good news is that you’ll get a $175 per person per night resort credit to use towards those things — even when you book with Hyatt points.
Miraval Locations
Miraval has expanded and there are now 3 locations in the United States, with an additional location in Saudi Arabia planned for 2024.
Miraval Arizona
Located in Tucson, Miraval Arizona is the original. I’ve had the pleasure of staying at this location twice and I can’t recommend it enough. This location is home to the original equine experience with Wyatt Webb.
Miraval Austin
Overlooking Lake Travis in Texas, Miraval Austin is one of the newer additions to the Miraval family of resorts.
Miraval Berkshires
Miraval Berkshires, located in Lenox, Massachusetts, brings Miraval luxury to New England. This location is the newest Miraval resort.
How To Use Hyatt Points To Stay At Miraval Resorts
Miraval Resorts is part of the World of Hyatt family and therefore you can use Hyatt points to pay for your stay. This is great news since the cash cost of these resorts tends to be pretty high.
Since Miraval is an all-inclusive resort, the cost in points is per person. You’ll get a $175 resort credit per person per night when you book with points (just the same as if you pay in cash).
For one person, Miraval costs 45,000 World of Hyatt points per night. For 2 people, a room will cost 65,000 points per night. So, 130,000 Hyatt points will get you and a friend 2 nights of ultimate luxury and wellness (including $350 in resort credit for each person).
- Miraval costs 45,000 points for 1 person for 1 night
- Miraval costs 65,000 points for 2 people for 1 night
That might seem like a lot of points, but it’s actually pretty easy to get your hands on that amount. The key to earning enough points is getting the right credit cards and using them strategically for your everyday spending. The first thing you should know is that Chase Ultimate Rewards points transfer to Haytt at a 1:1 ratio so we’ll be looking at both Chase and Hyatt credit cards.

You might notice that this is a cash-back card, however, if you also hold a premium Chase card (Chase Sapphire Preferred card, Chase Sapphire Reserve Card, or Ink Business Preferred Credit Card) you can turn that cash back into points that can be transferred to Hyatt for a stay at Miraval.
Chase Freedom Flex Credit Card – Earn a $200 bonus plus 5% back on groceries and gas with no annual fee!

How To Earn Enough Points For A 2-Night Stay
Here are a couple of examples so you can see how quickly you can earn points just by putting your everyday spending on the right credit card:
Scenario #1: Apply for the Chase Sapphire Preferred card and spend $4,000 in 3 months. If $500 of your spend is spent on travel or dining you’ll have 65,000 points which is enough for 1 night at Miraval for 2 people.
You and your partner can each do this and you’ll have enough points for 2 nights at Miraval. Your total out-of-pocket expenses would just be the cost of the annual fee which is $190 for 2 cards.
Scenario #2: Apply for the Chase Sapphire Preferred card and spend $4,000 in 3 months. This will give you a minimum of 64,000 points. Apply for the Freedom Flex card and spend $500 in the 5x bonus category in the first 3 months. You’ll have 22,500 points. Then apply for a World of Hyatt card and spend $3,000 in the first 3 months and you’ll have 36,000 points.
Combine all of these in your Hyatt account and you’ll have a minimum of 122,500 points which is just 7,500 points shy of the 130,000 points for 2 nights at a Miraval resort for 2 people. You can easily earn those extra points in a number of ways on any of those 3 cards. Your cash cost would just be the annual fees which total $190 for these 3 cards.
In both of these examples, you can earn enough points for a fantastic 2-night stay at Miraval (easily a $1,500 value) for only the cost of 2 annual credit card fees totaling $190!
