If you are familiar with the IHG brand of hotels, then you know about the IHG Point Breaks Promotion!  This is a quarterly promo where a select list of hotels is available to book for only 5,000 points per night!  This is a great deal as sometimes these rooms can normally cost 20,000-30,000 points per night!

These hotels will be available to book starting Monday, April 24, 2017 for stays between April 24, 2017 – July 31, 2017.  These tend to sell out quickly so do some planning this weekend and be ready to book on Monday for the best availability.  You can only make 2 reservations per hotel at the Point Breaks promo price.

Don’t Have Enough Points?

You can purchase points directly from IHG.  The cost per point goes down slightly with the more points you buy:

    • 5,000 points costs $67.50
    • 10,000 points cost $135
    • 15,000 points costs $187.50

While I normally don’t advise buying points for fun, when you have a specific redemption in mind, sometimes it makes sense.  $187.50 for 3 nights at a hotel can be a pretty good deal.

Chase Ultimate Rewards points also transfer directly to IHG at a 1:1 ratio!
