The Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls is a sprawling property located in Logan, Ohio (about 1 hour outside of Columbus). It’s boarded by Hocking Hills State Park, a very popular and beautiful hiking destination.
The Hocking Hills area offers stunning landscapes including waterfalls, cliffs, caves, and gorges. The serene beauty is a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Hocking Hills cabins are plentiful, so it might be hard to choose which one is right for you. We chose the Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls and were very happy with the accommodations.

Accommodations
The Inn And Spa At Cedar Falls offers 3 distinct types of accommodations — bed and breakfast style guest rooms, cabins, or cottages. If you plan to bring the whole family, book a cabin as these are the only accommodations that allow children.
1. Bed and Breakfast Rooms
These cozy, country-style rooms include a queen-size or 2 twin beds, a private bath plus a small refrigerator and writing desk as well as robes, hairdryers, irons, and ironing boards. Toiletries and coffee are complimentary.
2. Cabins
There are 5 distinct cabins on the property to choose from. Each one is quietly nestled in a peaceful, wooded setting. Each log cabin includes a fully equipped kitchen and TV for movie watching. Redbud Cabin is handicapped accessible and Strong Wolf Cabin is dog friendly.
3. Cottages
The cottages at the Inn And Spa At Cedar Falls are perfect for a romantic getaway for two. Each cottage includes either a king or queen-sized bed, a gas log stove, a private deck, and a whirlpool hot tub for two. Toiletries, coffee, robes, and hair dryers are complimentary.
The Sumac cottage is handicapped accessible and Goldenrod, Trillium, and Yarrow cottages are all dog friendly.
We stayed in the Trillium cottage. It was quiet, serene, and peaceful. It included a large, private deck that looked out over the woods. The cottage was spacious and comfortable.
While there was no TV, there were puzzles, books, and games in the room for entertainment.

The Food at The Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls
We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, and it was probably the thing I was least impressed with.
Dinner was good, but not great. I also thought it was a little overpriced for what it was. The restaurant has a very country cabin type of feel but the menu felt like it was trying to be a little too chic for the setting (think duck ravioli and filet mignon).
The menu was limited as well. If you are vegetarian, vegan, low carb, or low/high anything else, it could be tricky to stick to your diet. If you do have a dietary restriction, you might be able to call ahead to make arrangements.
Breakfast was included in the room rate. They offered eggs or steel-cut oats (which were delicious!) and a special for the day — pancakes on the day we were there. You also could choose 2 sides like bacon, toast, or a muffin. There was a yogurt bar with granola and fruit. Coffee and juices were also offered.
Hocking Hills Spa
Since we booked this as a replacement for our canceled anniversary Key West trip, we decided to treat ourselves to an afternoon at the spa on the property! My husband and I each booked a 60-minute massage and 60-minute facial.
This charming Hocking Hills spa is located in a small cabin in the woods, so it fits in well with the vibe of the property. My massage and facial were done in a small, but bright and breezy treatment room on the second floor of the cottage.
The only thing that wasn’t up to par was the massage table. It was a little uncomfortable and felt a tad rickety. I wasn’t worried I was going to collapse on the floor or anything — it just felt a little flimsy. However, I still really enjoyed my treatments! The prices were reasonable too. Both the 60-minute massage and 60-minute facial were $90 each.
If you are looking for a spa in Hocking Hills, this one is a great option.
Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls Service
We received excellent service at The Inn and Spa At Cedar Falls. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. The waitstaff was pleasant, the spa staff was welcoming, and the front desk staff was helpful with hiking maps and trail suggestions.
Tips For Hocking Hills
- Cell phone service is spotty to non-existent in this area. The Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls does offer a landline for guest use if you need it.
- Unless you know exactly where you are going, print out directions! The service is terrible in this area so our google maps navigation crapped out when we needed it. Thankfully, I had a general idea of where we were going so we found the Inn.
- Plan on unplugging. Hocking Hills cabins like this one offer free wi-fi, however, there aren’t TVs in most of the rooms. It’s a great time to unplug a bit and enjoy the peace and quiet.
- If you are planning to do some hiking and don’t know where to start, stop into the Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls first. The front desk staff can give you maps and trail suggestions.
Have you ever stayed at the Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls or another Hocking Hills cabin? I would love to hear about your experience.
